Subtitles adds editable subtitles to video by turning audible timeline audio into text clips. It is useful when a project needs captions, dialogue timing, or a first pass at spoken-word structure without manually typing every line.

Kepler treats subtitles as timeline content, not as a burned-in video effect. The generated transcription becomes ordinary text clips that can be moved, edited, styled, trimmed, or deleted.

A typical workflow:

- Select the timeline region that contains the speech.
- Open Subtitles.
- Choose the transcription model when options are available.
- Review the credit cost before generation starts.
- Let Kepler transcribe the audible mix for the selected region.
- Edit the resulting text clips directly on the timeline.

Subtitles depend on the audio that is audible in the chosen region. Muted tracks, hidden video audio, noisy recordings, music under speech, or overlapping speakers can affect transcription quality. For best results, keep dialogue clear and review generated text before exporting.
