Background

Background removes or replaces image and video backgrounds while keeping the source media unchanged. It is useful when a subject needs to be isolated, a product shot needs a cleaner setting, or an image should be reworked into a different environment.

Kepler stores background results as new media. The source image or video remains unchanged, so the generated output can be tested in the edit without losing the original.

A typical workflow:

- Open Background.
- Choose Remove or Replace depending on the task.
- Pick the source image or video.
- Add a prompt or reference when the selected replace model needs direction.
- Review credits before starting generation.
- Use the generated result as separate media in the timeline.

Background tools work best when the subject is visually clear. Complicated edges, motion blur, transparent materials, hair, reflections, and heavy compression can make separation harder. For replacement, prompts should describe the new environment while keeping the subject treatment consistent with the source.
