Seedance 2.5 Video Editing transforms an existing video span instead of generating an unrelated replacement. Kepler renders the selected timeline region as the master video, asks Seedance to preserve its motion and camera work, and places the result on a new generated track without overwriting the source.
The source region must be 1.8-30.2 seconds long. Editing automatically follows the source video duration and aspect ratio, so separate output Duration and Aspect Ratio controls are not shown. Resolution offers Match Canvas plus 480p, 720p, and 1080p. The credit estimate includes both the rendered input region and the generated output.
With Native Audio enabled, Seedance generates synchronized ambience, effects, speech, and music with the edited picture. For lip-synced dialogue, put the spoken line in quotation marks and identify the speaker clearly. Lip movement, timing, identity, and exact continuity can still vary between generations.
Write one precise prompt that names both the requested change and what must stay unchanged. For example, describe a replacement, setting, wardrobe, weather, lighting, or style change, then explicitly ask to preserve the original performance, motion, framing, and camera movement. Advanced settings expose output Bitrate and an optional Seed.
Negative Prompt, Prompt Strength, Replace mode, Shot Type, Elements, and manual output duration are not accepted by this editing task and are not shown. The edited result remains separate from the source so it can be compared, moved, trimmed, or removed safely.
