AMT Interpolation creates extra frames between existing video frames so slowed clips can play more smoothly.
Use it when a clip becomes choppy after slowing it down, or when a low-frame-rate source needs a smoother motion pass. Kepler sends the raw source media for interpolation. Picking with the pipette from the timeline still selects the clicked clip's original Media Bin source; timeline speed, trims, effects, and rendered segments are not used as the interpolation input.
The result is stored as new media and placed on the timeline without replacing the original. The best results come from clear source footage with readable motion. Very fast motion, heavy blur, hard cuts inside the source, or tiny moving details can still produce artifacts, so review the generated clip before replacing your edit.
